Title: Hell Part I: MEZARKABUL ..matte painting..
Name: Ismail Kemal Ciftcioglu
Country: Turkey
Software: Maya, Photoshop

This is the first matte painting of the series.Made for a documentary.I used 3d modelling and painting for creating this image.I took the rough 3d model of this image as a perspective reference..Some photographs were used as a pattern on rocks.

According to the script, this is the first hallway by entering Hell and millions of people is entering the giant complex.I'll put the other images when I have permission.Any c&c are welcome I hope you like it..

Hi dude! at first glance, I like your composition and the light but I find a bit difficult to watch the amount of people. I mean, itīs a bit confusing...

Anyway, I give you 4 stars cause I like the overall composition:thumbsup:

thanks for the comments friends:beer:
yes Ehsan I duplicated each rock but to avoid copy&paste effect I painted the pattern of every one of them and changed their lightings according to the sky and overall lighting.

very dramatic and ominous atmosphere. Definitely infernal. I do have one crit for this image. It was unclear to me that those were people walking down into canyon. I guess it's because their formation is so regular that they look more like a texture rather than thousands of individuals. (wouldn't the recently damned be panicked and disorderly?) Also, I think that there is a scale problem between the tiny size of the masses of people and the rocky texture on the nearest pillars. The texture seems like a rocky surface up close, not something distant that would suggest the scope you've intended. I get the feeling that the whole corridor is about twenty feet tall. I hope that this is helpful.

Fantastic image. Masterfully rendered
