3ds max, balloon floating.
This is an exercise for my intermediate animation class,

its supposed to be a balloon thats high enough in the sky that it cant really go any higher and has started to level out, the path of motion has to be interesting and believeable.

which is a hard balance to find because, a believable balloon has a fairly straight path of motion.
click on the picture to play.

thanks for your time.

it needs to rotate. all your doing is translating it. A balloon will spin in all directions with wind, and any downward force provided by gravity pulling on the weight of the string.

thanks alot,
I was actually putting that off until later, but I just got it done. I feel like the motion still needs alot of work, Im going to turn it in like this, and then turn in a revised version later so please leave some more crits for this piece.

a balloon is rarely straight when it's floating. although gravity plays a part in holding the bottom of the balloon down, it will tilt with the wind. Your string motion is off a little too. The first move to the left is good but after that the string doesn't seem to stay with the ballon...it kinda gets lifeless.
