Blackhorse,

Welcome to the Anat. Forum. It's good to see a 3D artist working in 2D as well. :) I really think this sketch has some nice painterly qualities to it:

I think you might greatly benefit from participating in this ongoing Workshop:

Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 2 - The Torso (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=405198)

As well, please introduce yourself to the community by explaining something about your art training and background. I encourage you to post comments and feedback to others' sketchbooks and you will receive it in return.

Looking forward to your updates!

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

Thanks Cris and Rebeccak.

I am a 3D modeling and texture artist who has working in the CG industry for three years. For now, I am keeping learning fine art from the local oil painting artist. It's full of fun. ^ ^

Here is the updated image of a copy of "Kneeling Nude Woman" 093.

I've picked out some master pieces to study for the Anatomy lesson 2 --the "Torso Study" . I will upload them here later. ^ ^ Have a nice day!

Hi Blackhorse! Some nice line studies here, and I agree with rebecca over that particular piece, something about the values in her face is rather lovely. The kneeling pose is nicely finished up too, I really like the odd lines you've put down to define her face. Very nice work!

I agree with Rebecca and Sam on that one drawing; it's a lovely face.

Keep going.

Hi all, at last I am back. I got some problems on the lumber, and the doctor told me to take a rest for half year. It's really boring days. however, I've recovered. so I tried catch up with the drawings from this month.

These sketches are amazing, and are a great example of what my goal is.

If you could put together a small step-by-step or tutorial on your sketching process, maybe some more info on what type media you use, I would be greatly appreciative.

I am now subscribed here, and anxously await your next set of sketches.

Thanks so much, guys.

I keep sketching and painting every two days, or when i render some scenes for 3D production.
I keep study the figures and anatomy in order that I could keep clear information in mind when doing CG works.

I often use 2B-6B pencils, chocal pencils for sketching and Photoshop for paintings. It's very convinient.

->Cynical_Saint: I will show some process of the sketch later. ^ ^

Hy Rick,

In fact you´re a draftsman who all can learn a lot just seeying your images. Congratulations.

I was travelling in your thread and really enjoyed how you draw the figures. I see a natural way of drawing the forms in "blocks". It´s interesting the way you deal with straight lines but
keeping the sense of volume.

Keep drawing.
