This orc is still in a process of completion. The pice of armour he is wearing in this shot is an old pice. I'm working on some padded leather armour that looks a bit worn.

I haven't posted any of my stuff here for quite a while. It's nice to see so much good work here in the forum. Anyway, I wouldn't mind some feedback on the character...

Cheers!

It's a good start, but I think it still needs a lot of work :)

Firstly, you need to add a lot more details, especially to the textures.
The skin needs a lot more detail, in every aspect. Try adding more colours to it, maybe adding grime in the wrinkles in his forehead and cheeks. You should really add a different colour for the lips, and also add some darker tones under the eyes - it will create a nice sense of evilness.

Also, you need to make a bump map - skin has loads of details in it that should be added with a bump map.

You also need a spec map - at the moment, the skin looks rubbery. Try adding some variation to your spec map as well.

In terms of the actual model, I think that on the whole it is fine, except for the mouth. The mouth has strange edges - the lips look odd. Like they don't flow nicely onto the rest of the face, especially in the corners. They look okay in the second pic, but in the first pic, they don't look right.

Is this an LOTR orc? :)
If it is, the ears should be quite a bit bigger ;)

The armour looks interesting, it would be nice to see a larger render, showing it all :)

I like the hat :D
