I have to agree, it's kind of totally out of focus.. or something..

I like it, and i have to second some comment about the focus.
BUT i really found the effect very interisting and appealing.
The background has an light psychedelic effect duo to the fact that you duplicated a lot of details but altered they all, so that they merge into an interesting pattern. Together with the blurryness it constantly teases the eye and doesnt let it come to rest.
Its very inspiring to look at all the details, you have a nice style.
May i use it as my desktop for a while?

And I third that. All the detail is lost in the blur, but from what I see, it looks pretty good.

May i use it as my desktop for a while? Yes :)
You are right, all mistakes are specified correctly. But conditions of competition were little bit unreasoned. At work there should be well detailed characters and well detailed kinds of the parallel world, it was necessary to leave work without focus to correspond to rules of competition.

after seeing the fragments from your other post i liked the image a lot more.
in my opinion the charakters are placed a bit loveless into the scene.
maybe to far away from camera, not enough dramatic.
to the blur.
its not actually a blur to me, its more like the background layer is duplicated. it looks like a 3d image with two channels (red and blue).
but very good characters. by the way do you have a version of the image without the blur?

The models are great, but the scene is kinda boring considering the subject matter. You have a flying motorbike and two hoverboards, but all the characters are showing their profile and emotionlessly gliding somewhere. There was a really exciting pose in one of your preliminary sketches that looked like it would have added some life to the composition. More dramatic poses, closer camera, and less blur would improve this greatly. But, as I said before, the models are great.
