Hello all my name is Mike and I am working on a dynamics demo reel. I have been searching company and studio websites to see what is required for a fx demo reel. Here is where I need help. Most of the time when studios post what is required they are more specific for positions like modellers or animators. I have sent emails to the companies I would like to work for asking what they look for, but so far I have not received any replies yet.
So I am asking anyone who works in the cgi industry what did you do or include on you demo reel? What things should I avoid doing on my fx demo reel? The things I want to work on and include would be water fx and other particle dynamics like dust and fire.
Any advice would be wonderful.
