The emotion of the movie is a bit off. But I give props for them to attempt doing lifelike.

I for one liked FF the movie.....

But you know what?
Acvtually a few of the characters from the trailer did look FF-ish...
Look at it real close and when the cshots of the CG characters come along see if I'm right or not....

All the Character Modeling afaik was done by Francisco Cortina and his site is @ http://www.digitalsculptor.net/ He worked on the FF movie too (of course :p) :D

ahh I saw the FF movie three times in the first week when it came out in Australia :p

I liked it a lot more then I thought I would, though most of the characters still came off as lifeless, spooky zombies. The creature work was fantastic. I wish Square would stop wasting time on this photoreal crap and get stylish with a film. It would rule with an iron hand if they did...IMHO of course.

Hmmm I have an old sound clip interview of the creator of FF that was featured on the CD of an issue of 3d World magazine... I had to modify the bitrate and filesize, but it's still pretty clear :D

Hi,

The MP3 file in this folder is me interviewing Jun Aida and Hironobu Sakaguchi, the producer and director of the Final Fantasy movie we feature in this issue of 3D World. The first voice, asking the questions and posing inanities, is mine. The next voice you'll hear is Jun Aida, the film's producer, who repeated my questions in Japanese to Hironobu Sakaguchi, and then translates his first answers back to me. The other (female) voice you'll hear belongs to Terri Sasaki, Square Honolulu's Vice President of Administration, who was acting as Sakaguchi-san's proper interpreter.

The interview took place a total of six days after the film was fully completed.

hey thanks i missed that issue of 3d world. the animatrix could in my mind either be really really good or really really trite and poor. obviously i'm hoping for the former... now i jut gotta be patient till the stuff comes up on the website (and hope that their website is able ot handle the traffic when it first opens!)

I'm going to have to rummage around in my "stak'o'stuff here and find that.

It was the issue with Aki on the front cover :) (Issue 15) It's on a stray folder on the cd... \inspiration\final fantasy\ along with the first trailer :D I don't really collect any mags, but I had to get the FF issue! :D

Animatrix is a series of shorts set in the world of the Matrix... they've got all different people/studios working on each one, and there's gonna be like 9 in total (from memory) :)

I like FF movie as well. Although I think that the emotion is a little off. I do have to say that they pushed pure cg movie to a different level. I like Aki in that outfit too.:drool:
