kmscottmoore,

Welcome! :) Fantastic to see your work here - these are some really lovely sketches. Please take some time to introduce yourself to the community by telling us a bit about your art training and background. As well I encourage you to take a look at some of the inspirational work being posted to many of the Anatomy Threads here. Take time to post comments, and you will receive them in return.

I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

Soietently, my little kimchi.

I went to college for art, then sort of dropped out for 10 or 15 years. About a year ago, I decided to pick it up again. Usually, its a waste of paper, but I get lucky sometimes.

I know many of you from other art forums, (which means I waste too much time on the computer)

Occasionally, I drag my lazy butt out of the house and go to life drawing.

I didn't intend for this to be a demo, but I wasn't sure how it would turn out, so I took a few pics along the way.
This is a medium some of you may not have tried, the litho crayon. It is meant for drawing directly on a printing plate; it is very black and greasy, and doesn't really allow for erasing.
Kathe Kollwitz did some awesome drawings in this medium. This is the drawing before I start getting goofy.

Now, since I can't erase, and it doesn't smudge well, I use Bestine solvent to smear it.

Now I go crazy with the white chalk, and re-state the blacks.
