wow yeah this is it:) What I feel in this image is, "we'll sail to that misty dark looking unstable land....just ready your weapons". I love that morning-misty looking of the hills&mountains. I'd like to see the ref images too, great work jaime:buttrock:

James, you make me want to cry! How in gods earth did you manage to get the rocks so photo realistic? that is just amazing, and the sea looks so ... sea like! amazing!

thanks guys, it is a photo manipulation actually and 2D painting for some details . the photo blending was a hard part because of the different exposure and lighting en each photo in particular, but I'm happy with the result, I'm probably adding some birds flying

Silly me http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon11.gif

Still looks very cool none the less, care to post the reference images?

Perhaps it would be great to have a ship coming a little too close to the coastline, and maybe a wet dinosaurs footprint on the forground rock.

The lighting looks seamless, and i love the spikes. well done mate http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon13.gif

wow great Matte, as usual. Do you plan the concept sketch on photo reference, you already have, or the other way round ? I think its an advantage, when you know about materials, you'll be using and already have it, when sketching.
