I have trape code but cant seem to be able to make these 3d type arrows wrap around a room in AE? Is this done in 3d apps instead?

Thanks, has there been any tutorials on this type of work so I can see how its done?

There is no one tutorial that can explain how it's done, just a bunch of disciplines combined to create the effect. Animation, rotoscoping/masking, compositioning, and at least one sure shot with camera tracking are all in there. Since there are mostly 2d effects put in 3d, in theory you could animate it in a compositioner and get the same results, but it'd be far easier to use a dedicated 3d solution for the animation.

Yah, while I think I'd probably choose to do this in a 3D app.. I don't see why it can't be done in a vanilla copy of AE.

It would be made even easier in AE if you had a copy of Trapcode 3D Stroke.
