Im sure this will be an easy question for most.

In Maya 7 when I move the camera around my NURBS surfaces all drop to a lower detail level. How do I stop them from doing so as it is really annoying me.

Check if you have inadvertantly turned your Maya's Maya->display->Fast interaction ...to be 'on'.. Turn it off an' hopefully it should solve your display issue.
