it is done...the best...nej...the greatest...no, not that either...
THE ULTIMATE, animation ever is here!

meet Zedric, he has gone from "the dancing ant" to "the pissing ant", and finally ended up here. As Zedric...erm...the...ant...

it's a 29second animation where Zedric gets his hat stolen by a "ferry". it does have a underline story, about love :)

here are some pictures that I'we collected in a flash animation...

would be nice to know if you like it, I never get any replies to my posts.

I didnt sync the hand motion to the song when I animated, which is a shame, dont think it sucks doh, since the hand was fortunatly synced to the music, and not the rythm :D *lucky*

a guy told me (AFTER I was finished with the anim..hehe) that the moves were stale, guess thats why you want me to buy the books? :) dont think I'll buy them doh..I'll just rely on my 4-5 more years of learning :D

thx doh

It will take 2 weeks of studying those books to get what you're missing. They are written by the best and the successful people in the business have read them.

Don't waste 5 years on your own. You'll have to compete with all the people 5 years younger than yourself who know just as much as you do by then.

webfox - that is not entirly true since you can manage to animate by studying motion on your own.

The only limit he got with Zedric is his skeleton setup. well anyway.. it looks nice! ;p

But anticipation, timing, posing, frames-per-seconds basic and basic understanding of the human motion etc.. is something you SHOULD read because it's allways valuable to get professionalls view of animation.

Flow- I think you had a good idea and I'm sure you vision was right on. Just need to work on the animation a little. Also, I might think about shortening the life of your particles so they don't collect and lay on the ground. I LOVED the lighting though. There were a bunch of thing you did well in this, just refine it a little. Keep up the good work and don't quit.

just as I held the razorblades to my neck, you come and save me. Thanks!!

yeah, I'm sure zedric is rather badly animated. havent done to many character animations doh (if we count my first ever walk test animation, zedric would be my second). I'm glad you liked the "lightning", hehe nothing special there doh...And about the particles, at the begining I had them so that they "died" after 60 frames, but then I wanted them to gather actually. So they did...not to popular doh :D

thx !! :)

No need to kill yourself.

But if you won't listen to common sense and the experience of others, then I don't have a lot of sympathy.

I'm 37, and taught myself to paint in acrylics and oils, airbrush, cartoon, photoshop, and model/animate on my own. ON MY OWN.

If I had seriously looked at my career when I was 19, I wouldn't have wasted the time to study a degree that I hated and later teach myself these things. I would have majored in art, and not engineering and I would be 10-15 years ahead of myself. 10-15 years, even 5 years, is no ****ing joke.

I am only encouraging you to learn, and not screw around with 5 wasted years. You will kick yourself in the butt if you don't actively pursue your own career and take learning seriously.

There are a bunch of hacks on this and many other forums who think they're great because they're satisfied that mommy will put their crap on the fridge for display.

There are a lot less who are employable and worth working with.

Know the difference. Be the difference. It's not a personal failure to learn from others, or even the failure of others.

Focus, study, learn, succeed.

Just because I'm not warm and fuzzy doesn't mean that I don't have your best interest at heart.

When I'll play the move, it will freeze my system for some reason. :annoyed:

I'we never taken the things you'we said "the wrong way". I just took the critics watched the anim a few more times. But like I said, it's not my 100th character animation, and _I will learn in time_. Took me two years to get here (one year with books, the first year was just..lol...). I buy books a few times now and then, but I dont really see a great rush to learn the finest and best skills yet, Im only 17. Even doh there are guys at 17 who are alot better than me, I'm quite sure they dont have 5 years of leveldesign experience behind them

But ofcourse I take what you say and use it for the good, right now I dont have anything going doh...

conehead, dont know what that could be..sorry...but as you can see, your not missing out on much  :D
