Better than Michael Bay's rendition anyway! :D

It's cool, really nostalgic. Prime was one of my favourite toys as a kid. Keep going!

hey really nice work here...

i'm not sure if its the case or not...we may have just used similar references...but I'm seeing a whole lot of similarities in the arms (particularly the hands and elbow joints) to an earlier version of the arms in my transformer model....lol...

not that there's anything wrong with that, I certainly don't have an issue with it...for a while I couldn't work out where I'd seen them before...then it struck me...lol...

if you did draw inspiration from my arms (that sounds so odd) I find that kinda cool...lol....

but yeh...keep it up..

hope i didn't sound protective or annoyed or anything...

you did :)

i don't think there are many ways to create these bots arms, if you want to keep true to the original that is anyway. ask 10 people to do a Optimus Prime, and pretty sure most of them will look a lot like each other.

The only main and biggest difference between your model and this one is that yours actually transforms, i'm not sure i can see this one do that. And that is still amazing what you did with it! Still waiting on that VFX animation you should make like 3Dblasphemy did with his :D

Better than Michael Bay's rendition anyway! :D

Has there been a preview released yet? or a video? if so.. show! ;)

btw Ghostknife, very nice work, can't wait to see it textured is all i can say :p

and I know what you mean about there only being so many ways to model something like this....but yeh...i just saw similarities tis all....and i've got no probs with it....:)

Nice bot. Is it going to transform? It wouldn't really be a transformer if it couldn't transform would it? Ahh even it it can't it still looks good.

Nice bot ya got there :-) Looks like he packs quite a punch!

Small question though, I love the lights on the gun. How did you do those lenses? Are they mapped or actual caustics through a transparent material?

Nice! I would love to see some extra detail in the armour though... like grooves in the metal etcetc... but overall nice modelling, hope to see a pose soon too.

Cheers
