This is a short sequence I have just finished for one of our TV Idents. It is a fly through a game of Space Invaders from viewer to behind the Monitor, hence the tie with the name of the brand called' Behind the Game'.

Space Invaders! That takes me back!
I'd like to see the animation as well - I like the Matrix-like look of the invaders.
Long live the classics!

I just poped it onto my server. Hope the quality is alright. I also did the music (if you can call it that) and sound effects, which I must say was fun to do.

Thanks for posting the video. I assume this is for a TV piece about videogames? Where and when can we see it?

Thanks Guys

Jabo, the previous topic has the link.

Chappo, I used Max, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and Word (to make up the text fields), and Premiere to edit the sound. Yeah I worked that transition to be impactful. Combustion, no I wish we had it here, as it would make some of the compositing work so much quicker, ie the text layers on the invader.

Toxic Frog, I used the Matrix as one of the references for the text effects.

I enoyed playing with one of the classsics of gaming history. Making them move was quite a labour, and I thought it would be 'quick quick'. I used expressions in the end to enable me to make changes quite quickly.

Well if you live in Japan, Hong Kong, India or China (I think there are more terratories) you can see it on the NOW Channel. This will be a ident to encompass three others Games shows which I can't talk about right now, but I think they will be coming out in the next 6 months. There is another games show we made called 'Endzone' which will be airing on Bravo (not sure if it is globally or just for Europe) this February. It is a cool show about sports and video games. I did the graphics sequences on that aswell with a couple of other guys.

looks interesting, but the swirly part with the pink/red backdrop seems a little bit too long in comparison with the pace of the rest of the video.

Very cool idea and very well done!

But I agree with stephen2002 comment. I wish the camera would spend a little more time close up to the invaders, it's such a cool shot.

Thanks stephen2002 and _d1. I would of liked to have made the middle more action orientated at first, but afterwards I liked the fast/slow/fast pacing of the piece. I probably would of messed with it a whole lot, but those damn dealines keep on getting in the way of my work. :)
