Sevensheaven 01-31-2003, 01:28 PM Hi,
I wanted to create a Max scene almost entirely textured with Simbiont materials. It rendered fine with VRay.

Hey, nice work =).
You know it reminds me of a computergame, the colors and the objects reminds me of the neeverhood =), and the cool perspectiv reminds me of discworld 2 =).
Are you going to an animation of it too? Tell me if you does =).

Thanks Spenen! I don't really know the games you mentioned. I don't think the scene will be animated. I had this scene in my mind for quite a while and now I've created it I can empty that piece of image space in my head. :)

I'm not really into playing games anymore. I used to be a total gamesfreak, until I started creating them myself (about 15 years ago already), starting with the Amiga computer. I discovered that creating games is even more fun than playing them. Have a look in the English computer section of MetinSeven.com (http://www.metinseven.com) for more about ten years of games creation, including meeting a number of villainous publishers.

If it's really your dream go for it man. But be careful. There's a lot of sharks swimming in the sea of commercial publishers.

Thx for the warning, I'll be very careful with what job I'll choose.
But I've got many friends that works with making games, so they have told me what companies that are good and not =D.
I'll probably start working when i finish school in about 1½ years =), if I dont get a good job I'll just continu studing =).

Hi Zisland,
You're almost making me blush man! I think I'll post some more pics here in the future. It's healthy for your self-confidence. :)
Hmm, I must stay modest, otherwise I'll attract the kind of guys who write "Yeah, nice pic, but there are no caustics on the table from the bottle and glass and there seems to be something wrong with the perspective, and why didn't you use volumetricsubsurfaceparticleplasmascattering for the glow around the moon, you moron?!" ;)
Cheerio!

:D Thanks man! Shall we propose to a plug-in developer to start programming volumetricsubsurfaceparticleplasmascattering? It would be the feature to end all features and you could create anything you want with only the touch of a button called "Start volumetricsubsurfaceparticleplasmascattering!" :p

fantabulous, I shall give 1 beellion dollars for the purchase of said plugin :applause:
nice image too :)
kind of like a weird dream state

Thanks Squid Inc.! Maybe we should include more options than only one button in the volumetricsubsurfaceparticleplasmascattering plug-in, like "Coolness level of image (value 0-1000)". :)

Thanks Tommi! I just can't resist thanking everyone who's giving me such sympathetic feedback on my image. Funny fact is that the image is actually a "quickie". For me it doesn't come close to a masterpiece. I just like the atmosphere I portrayed, that's it for me.
But you CGTalk people have really convinced me i should make this kind of weird stuff more often.
Cheerio,
