Hello everyone!

I'm new here...so please forgive any screw-ups I'm about to make.

Anyway...the challenge topic sounds rather fun so I figured I'ld try something. Here's an early pic of what I'm working on. She's sort of a warrior-goddess, though she may become a demon before I'm done...haven't really decided yet.

Please tell me what you all think.

Thanks!

ahhemmmm it's a good start.

I just find the props being weird, especially on the legs that are so TALL !!! But it may be done intentionally. What do you think ?

Thanks for the comments.
Yeah...the legs are rather tall...but I went for 'Comic-book' proportions. I figured it would give her a more imposing look. I'm not sure what you mean by 'wierd looking props' Could you perhaps give me a little more detail...I'm really interested in any criticism.
Hopefully I'll have a fully posed version up soon...that might help a bit.

Thanks!

i think what he mean by wierd looking props is the size of the shoulder and arm pit.
it's sorta like not a so popular design for fashion.
but anyway, eventho it might look abit wierd for me too in the 1st image. but it seems perfectly well once it has been rigged and posed.
Nice work Amuzani!!

No in fact i just meant that this character does not have common human proportions. But it seems that this is done on purpose, so there is no problem :)

I like that pose too !

Keep going :)

Hey I really think she looks very cool! Yeah, the proportions are a bit strange, but I think it really suits her :D
Cool work, Amuzani :)

Here's a quick gate and 'really' quick background...don't think I'll have time to finish a complete environment...oh well.

Here's a link to a higher res version.

I know the final entry is supposed to be untextured, but I was thinking about using this model in a toon-rendered animation. So...what do you all think of this look?
Thanks!

I really digged the big B&W render (gate1.jpg), think it's impressing. love the gate's top... I would go for the dramatic look, I think it's nicer then the toon shader.
