lo all,

got another beginners kinda question for you, hope someone can help me.
I am trying to animate a tattoo appearing on a face.
so now ive got the tatoo lined up, i need to to follow the motion of the face.

what i did sofar is track the face motion, but then when i press apply the tattoo seems to be rotated and out of place everytime. From that point on it does follow the motion , but its in the wrong place then.
Now when i try to put the tatoo on the right place, the whole movie follows.
so then i tried a couple of more times, but never achieved the right result.

what am i missing here ?

thx !

better apply the tracking data to a null.
parent the tattoo layer to this null. this way you can easily reposition the tattoo without killing the keyframed animation.

good luck,
payton

yep, do what payton says! make a null layer or a solid (with visibility turned off) or something, and parent the tattoo to that.

or, you can look at your position keyframes, select all of them, and then reposition the tattoo without deselecting all the keyframes. easier to do what payton says.
