nice modeling!! The only thing i would change is the ear, it looks a little long, and sitting to far out for the head. Also, the hand looks good, but not very old?? more wrinkles!!

Well done! Dont ya love old peoples hats!

i'm making some changes to both models. yes, the ear needs to be fixed up; thanks wok. also, i'm going to try to get the old, wrinkled look going more with some displacements. :)

i will post again in a bit after some changes.

i think that the head modeling is great...some old people ears are really long..but i think theay´re way too flat.the hands are great too but the finger "joints"(i don´t know how they´re called) are too big, nothing really hard to solve..keep it up!!

I kinda like the ear, he's all old and misconboobulated, if that means kinda wonky in the physical features. Im guessing it doesn;t and I also spelled it wrong. The hands are cool but yeah, they could be more wrinkly and such. At any rate, it looks really good to me.

thanks!

knoxville: yes, the ears are too flat, need to tweak the shape a bit. also, i'm thinking that the ear is a bit "thick".. and needs to be a bit droopier.

aerestis: i am looking fwd to more wrinkles as well ;) i'll post again once i get that going with displacements.

working on his clothes right now. i also updated the sketch above, and gave him some fun glasses. :p

i started work on his clothes and accessories, and did a few quick renders... textures and modeling details like buttons and pockets still to come.
what do you think?

Hey, everything looks looks good for the body, but I have one comment on the cloths. From the side view, it looks like his belly should come out more or maybe be rounded off a litlle. It kinda looks a little boxy. Just a suggestions. Good WIP so far. I also that a good rough looking facial texture could add a few years to his face. Got any wireframes of the head??
Nice job, Cel :buttrock: :buttrock:

definitely, he needs more of a rounded belly :) the cloth isn't hugging to him much there either, which will accentuate his belly even more!
i'm looking fwd to giving him wrinkles thru displacements and texture, because then he'll get to show his age a bit more ;)
thanks for the suggestions

here's his head wire
