This piece was created for the 2006 Blizzard art competition. I completed the image in about 4 days, due to not hearing about the contest until 4 days prior to the deadline... I don't expect to win anything but I had alot of fun doing it, and it was really more of a test to see how far I could take it in the 4 day timespan I had.

my inspiration was drawn from steve wang FX, you can see the display he created here:

They created a 9 foot display mannequin for Blizzard for a character called "Illidan" I was inspired by this and decided to create a female counterpart/companion for the Iliidan character. Her name is Jidan and she is a demon huntress.
she was created using 3dsmax, hexagon,zbrush, and photoshop.

I like the scene but I have one crit, it looks a little bit too blury... i think you should sharpen it a little bit :)

To be honest I am not really a fan of the colors and subject matter, but the modeling is very good! I really enjoy the shaders too. Keep it up!

thanks for your continuing comments! I value them all. I agree, it is a little on the blurry side, but made worse buy the jpg compression settings...

B3AND1P: what is it about the colors and subject matter that you are not fond of? Just curious what your suggestions would be to improve it?

you deserve more than 2 stars.. bumped it up to 3 ;)

very nice modelling and shading, just tune down the sss and the moon strongness a bit. And I miss blue colors, since it's a nightscene.

This models looks great,Something is missing in that model according to me i.e Blue shading.
Everthing is perfect.......
