I know Lightwave render pretty well
But want to learn XSI and Modo so this thread will hopefully show my progress.

modo modeling and painting tools are Good REALLY GOOD !!.
I'm very happy with all that workflow, 202 made it all very slick.

but i started spending time trying to get in modo render and render times would always blow right out trying to get rid of the noise ( top pic took 6 hours to render at that rez, the XSi renders are about 5 - 10 mins both on a dual core 3 ghz, win64 etc)

after hit the 20 hour render mark in modo for a still !!,
I started playing in XSI as i waited and well I'm enyoying learn it more then modo's render at the moment.

I must admit the modo render looks better and it's easier to setup but it's alot of work to fix
where i'm guessing XSI will take longer to build but I'll have more control...
that's my theory anyway :D I'll get back to work :wip:
