um well im taking another stab at photorealism......tell me what u think....crits, comments anything is cool...:)

this is the most recent render ive done...the color has been adjusted in photoshop a bit....

I definitly think its getting really close to photorealistic. I can't wait till its done.

if it's a worn and used sword as I suppose you intend it to be, remember that the handle would be a bit dirtier and worn too, especially where the index finger and the thumb are situated. in time dirt and hand movements smoothen and dirty it (imagine what blood would look like if constantly rubbed into wood), so you need to mess a bit more with the textures. otherwize, it's looking relly good :)
