I heard there was a feature in the Timeline in r7 called Motion groups which grouped any number of tracks into one block on animation that you could edit on the timeline just like blocks on video in a video editor (nonlinear animation). Does this feature still exist? How can I find it? If it's gone why, because it seems very useful.

it's now called the momix object and s only part of the mocca module. it works slightly differently now too, but it gives you NLA.and probably more control than the old moion grouping did.

--afraid it works totally different then Motiongroups.
MoMix is nice for certain tasks,
but I really miss Motiongroups, if only for the easy way to transfer 1000 of keys from one ObjectGroup to another--
I hope they bring Motiongroups back and give it an organization interface (something like Motiongroup sets you can turn on or off to expand/contract and select them-- and maybe a preview icon).
MoMix is not a proper replacement.
