Been working on this, about 3 nights of spare time in total. Still a WIP, needs a little tweaking. I think the rear window trim is too tall, it creates the bump seen in the front view. Anyway C+C welcome, thanx!!!

i am using 3ds max 5...i use spline modeling / editable poly to move some verts around..kink out some dents..and made the grooves..you have a better idea of modeling the lights first then going from there..i modeled the body and left holes for the lights so already the lights were bound to not be flush with the body, haha..but awesome man.

put some cool rims on that jank

Tbonz, what software and technique are YOU using may I ask? What method did you use for makign the nice crease like the crease between your fender and hood. Also how did you go about making the seams around the door, hood, body panels etc.

Your supras are looking great. There's three of you by the way. Lakerz is also doing one. =) I'm doing another car. Hopefully I can also for help with pictures shortly. keep up the good work!

Holosynthetic, I have some rims I modeled in Rhino that I may use, nice BIG 1's!!!
Placid, I used poly modeling, keeping the low poly cage relatively low poly for smoothness ;) The car was modeled as 1 piece, I then detached the hood and trunk, for the seams chamfer and extrude are my method, I will link a tutorial a friend of mine wrote on that subject(doors) later on if you are interested.
ThirdEye_01, that is the area I am going to work on next, I've been adding detail in sections. I need to arch the trunk a little, and define the area for the tail lights, and add a cool wing!
Thanx for the response guys!

Just a quick scanline render(slow PC here!) Materials and color are just temporary. Holosynthetic, do you have some good ref pix of the back end of the car? I need something other than the blueprints to get a feel for it, and the refs I've found stink! Thanx

Hey Placid here is that tutorial link, it's just the basics, but it a technique many good car modelers(in max) use. Good luck and enjoy!

hey, lookin great man!, go on www.google.com and go to the image section and just type in 'toyota supra' and you get a bunch of pics..on the 3rd or 4th page theres a picture of the back of a white toyota supra thats pretty good, thats what i used, also for head lights..you might want to search separatly for supra lights..i found a link of a nice pic of the headlight..

Small update tweaked the shape of the rear fender/trunk lid, looks a little smoother IMO. Also added a veilside inspired tail, modeled it pretty quickly, needs some adjusting. Not sure if I'm going to keep this tail or not.

Thanx Chi! Small update I made some of the little stuff, corner lites, wheel wells, more window trim, interior floor. Haven't had much time, but I'm pleased with how it's going!

Hey Y@, how've you been? Thanx man, I appreciate comments when they come from you!! I need to do exactly what you recommended, First I have to bevel the edges of the lense covers, I'm waiting till the end to do that stuff, Refractive glass will add to the render time as you know, and this PC is slower than a snail!!!! lol I shaped the back a bit better, still have to make some taillights, which is why I've been showing front shots. :)

Hey guys, I redid the nose, and the tail. I also adjusted the small rear side window, the rim of the wheel wells, and added the indent in the bottom of the door. It has a couple of issues I am aware of, behind the front wheel arch has a couple of flaws, from where I added the door indent. Higher up there is 1 (seen in the hightlight) as well because I added a row of edges to soften the transition between the hood and fender, should be an easy fix. I still need to adjust the shape of the vent behind the door... depends on the bodykit.=) Things still to do to the exterior: the tail lights, add detail to the hood so it matches the body kit, and a whole heap of little stuff wipers, door handles etc. and textures of course. So here is a little update.
