Title: Deception (Blood elf) Blizzard Contest

Hi. This is my first Original Painting(digi/traditional), so some elements could be way off.

I made this painting for the Blizzard Contest. I started out wanted to paint a night elf, but then the elf started to look more like an blood elf. As i twist i decided to make her a blood elf trying to disguise herself. Anyway i hope you guys enjoy. I would really appreciate it if you guys can give me some critique. Be as brutally honest as possible. Thats the only way a noob artist will learn. :) Thank in advance.


Here is a close up of the elf. I wanted her to portray her as a sweet alluring assassin.

Very interesting colors and light here, is that a sword on her hand? I'm not sure I like the black devil in the back, it looks a bit noob-like and off theme. But I like the way you painted the girl.

Thank you so very much for your comment/crit. I used a very saturated color as i wanted to give a fantasy feel to the painting. As for the over all color, i used color that felt comfortable to my eyes. I am sure have made a lot of noob in terms of color scheme, as i am still pretty clueless in terms of "color theory". The devil i think you were refering in the back is suppose to be an "enchanted tree" which is a part of WOW's environment.. As for the sword, it's actually a bow and arrow. :) I guess my pose and angle might of thown people off. lol Yes so much to learn. :)
