Title: Eight-Spotted Forester Moth

Software: 3ds max, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

This is a model of a an Eight-Spottle Forester Moth. Modeling was done in Max8 and Maya7 and was rendered in Max8 using Mental Ray. Alot of time was spent on the SSS for the leaf.

the eyes are the only thing taht bug me a little (no pun intended)

other than taht, very real looking! :D

Thanks everyone!

I agree about the eyes. I was trying to achieve that insect eye look but I couldn't quite get it too look right. If anyone has tips on it let me know.

don't know about the eyes, but the fur on its body seems a bit polarized at the ends. back end. if it looks like that in reference pics, my bad. great colours and contrast
