Hello,

I currently have two laptops, one that runs with Photoshop 7 and another that runs Photoshop CS2. I have saved my brushes from Photoshop 7 because I want to load them into Photoshop CS2, however, it says the brushes are not compatible. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Thanks!

Hmm I always thought that PS7 brushes have to work with CS but not the other way round. Cause I always get an error too if I load CS brushes into my version 7 :(

Yeah, I've always heard that you can't load CS2 brushes into Photoshop 7 as well. But I thought you could load brushes from a previous version into CS2, which is what I'm trying to do. I so confuzzled!

are you trying to load (append)or replace? CS2 should be backwards-compatible with older brush sets. I just tried to do it and it worked. Is the file type an .abr?

Yes, I'm trying to replace the brushes, and yes to your second question. The brush file is an .abr file.

That's very odd, because I had no problem bringing in brushes made in an older version of Photoshop to CS, it's just not backwards compatible. Maybe try re-saving the brushes out of the older version?
