The beginning of a project just want to collect feedback on what could be done better. The texturing is lame because I haven't spent anytime on it yet...

His throat could be a bit less sharp and maybe some bigger eyes would be good??:hmm:

I modelled it using photos of myself.... Apparently My eyes are too small.... Thx Anyways.

The flow of the mesh is good I think
However, there's much to do:
- lips need much attention... they don't look natural. This crease shouldn't go around whole mouth, and there's something under lower lip which IMO shouldn't be, and corners also are strange
- Eyes... they are bit to far away, and tad bigger won't harm ;)
- whole eyesocket could use some work
- agree about the throat, it's bit too sharp
- ears are very nice

If you are modelling from photos, keep in mind they have some perspective distortion, which sometimes causes the model looking good in left/front/ortho views to look strange in perspective... some solution is to take the photos using telephoto lens. Tried once to make my face using side/front photos taken with almost fisheye lens (didn't knew then it's bad) and result wasn't even slightly resembling me...

good start, i agree to azazel. Don't need to care about the textures right now, don't jump to texture it until you have a finished mesh. Sometime it is even better to rig it first before you texture.

Thanks Azazel, HapZungLam...

I tried to shoot from a way back with the lense zoomed in... I probably need to do this to an extreme... And put the camera on a tripod.

I will rework the eye socket...

As for the lips looks like I will be spending a bit of time in the mirror this morning. Hey it worked for the nose...

Wow, this is becoming world class (as opposed to what other I don't know).

KayosIII, good job. You've got the human head down.

I wouldn't say that there are a lot of areas that still need work... I am however improving.

Much much better now
- lips need a bit more refining, but not much: they look great in side view, but not that good in front view...but that's only a few moves of the mouse, besides it will look better even now with some teeth behind them.
- upper eyelid could be better... eyelids are hard to model;)
-eyes ;) You wearing yellow contact lenses?

and suggestion about texture: paint it or use photos, but be careful with procedurals;)

Keep it up:thumbsup:

More work on the eyelids.... Pulling out my anatomy books now :)
The irises are actually a proceedural gold It is basically a 30 second looks ok texture job... I will do some more detail once I got the modelling nailed (Including UV) The skin proceedural I have is pretty cool so I will probably use it to mask continuity problems with the UV..
Anyways Thanks....

Very nice work on the second head it is a big improvement over the first and I'm finding it hard to have a constructive criticism about it. Perhaps lose some of the symmetry in the face?!

overall, pretty good work! And a big improvement from the first pic. This face really has some character now. I think on thing you might wanna tweak would be the sides of the nose, seems like there are some sharp edges there... Also maybe add a wrinkly or two between the eyebrows.

this head will look pretty cool when you get your textures on it. Already he makes me think of a military marine or something. great job man!
