Title: Neader Troll
Name: Eric Spitler
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop
This started as a pencil concept sketch and then i decided to paint over it to try to get better at painting in photoshop.
I did this painting with the idea that the myth of trolls might have come about from early humans encountering neaderthals. That's why i gave him a very caveman like appearance.
crits are always welcome.

Wow, this is fantastic! I love how soft the background is, the whole thing is beautifully done. Did you mostly color over the pencil rendering, or is the whole thing painted over using the sketch as only a guide? I'd love to see a WIP for this.
5 stars from me!

johnny 79- the original pencil sketch is a lot different. i think i drew it about 2 years ago. i remember when i first drew it i thought it looked cool, but now that i see it, i think it looks pretty bad. hopefully in a couple years i'll think my troll painting looks really bad too :)
thanks for the comments

Great image !! fantastic work on the skin ! The colors are great too, and the pose of the character is far much better than the one featured on your earlier sketch, excellent work !
