This is a concept by me, yes its kinda bad I know. I want to have a go at modeling this using modo and zbrush.

I did the base mesh to zbrush workflow, pretty cool I guess. I'm just going to layer armor and clothing on the mesh, should be fun to do that in Modo.

You'd think that in the future they would have something to replace 1000000 straps to hold a simple shin guard no?
Dont try to hard to make it look busy, it just becomes a sore point later on.
I think RmachucaA is right - I really liked your concept, however I think you went overboard with the straps on your model. Maybe place them in a more random way like in the concept.

RmachucaA, B.T., Your both right its looking a bit too busy at the moment. I'll remove some of them and see how it goes, in general its the style I'm going for:).

I'm making progress on this, also trying not to clutter the model as you guys suggested. I'll work on the upper body next time.

I like the concept art with a lot of straps, but I think you might need to cut a few from the model because it is looking too busy. Right now you have each strap having a buckle, when you may want to think about duplicating a lot of that strappiness with lacing, so you only have one buckle but still a lot of straps.

Ghostscape, looking at the model now, I believe you are right. I 'll remove more of the straps and go for a bit more simpler look, it just me I guess sometimes I try too hard:).
