Hello, everybody. Here is the wip to my first real attempt at matte painting. I did some digital painting until now, and so i decided to begin a matte.

I want to adapt the world of alice in wonderland in matte painting. So checker ground, A girl will stand on the right cliff, and perhaps the castle of the queen of heart in the mist down of the cliff

hi jnurp well the idea is really good, and the layout is coming along well, I think you need a focal point, where do you want the viewer to look at more, how do you want the eye to fly trough ? the look so far is still to sketchy , but let's see how you progress in this painting , good luck

looks nice now.as jaime said it needs focal point.don't forget to put progress images,good luck:thumbsup:

Does it need a focal point if intended to be a backdrop?
