This is my last personal work, its the main character of a wonderfull korean movie called A bitter sweet life,Kim sunwoo played by the actor Lee Byung Hun works for one of the Mob familly and one day his boss asks him to take care of somethin for him: watch his young girlfriend for a couple of days while he need to get on a trip to china.. Sunwoo's boss suspect his girlfirend to have an affair with another man, Sunwoo's task is to see if this is true and if it is, to "take care" of her and the new boyfriend..but sunwoo fell in love with the girl and couldnt kill her.. then its obvious: the boss hear about that and wants Sunwoo dead as he didnt do the job right.. but Sunwoo manage to escape while a bunch of gangsters of his own crew are about to kill him then its time for a bitter but sweet revenge!
I just want to add that is one of the best movie i saw last year..and everyone should see this movie..its just awesome..Respects to Kim Jee Won for this movie..
As for the character,its a reproduction of a wallpaper of the movie.. its modeled in maya and rendered with sss in mental ray, i also used some zbrush pass on the face and on some parts of the cloths..Hair is a mix of photos and handbrushed. Color corrections in PS..thats it, hipe u like it and if u do i hope u will get a chance to see the movie.

Excellent job! Great work one the modleing, textures, lighting, posing, and composition.

...Really a great piece all around. I especially like the level of emotion that is conveyed in this piece. :thumbsup:

Very nice pice.

But I think there is something wrong with fingers. Not looking natural.

nice work, I really like korean movie and this one is really a good one.. good capture of the poster movie.
I totaly agree about the fingers..

I like the style of this one. Don't know if the skin shader is that hot though, but if you're working from a reference I'm sure you've tried to match the original. :)

Hey guyz, im glad u like it.. i really had a hard time figuring who the lighting was set in the original photo so i just tried to keep it simple.. the result is that the face is darker than in th original photo.. as for the fingers, the only thing that bother me is that i should have had more detail in zbrush but im just lazy..lol

Sound very much like the plot of Pulp Fiction. Anyway, to stay on topic, I would have to congratulate you on a very well done job. The only criticism would be about the soft edges of his shirt sleeve.

Sounds very much like a lot of pulp fiction, including Pulp Fiction. :)

Haven't seen this movie yet, but I know that Korean movies have been kicking major ass recently. Park Chan-Wook's movies are really great - especially Oldboy.
