First project for school...having a hard time settling on textures...ignore the ones on there...just peaking around a bit :)

look at the modeling and let me know what textures/materials you think might look good....me personally, i think the table/chairs should be wood...but nothing i've tryed looks quite right :thumbsdow

for the floor, i'm just addicted to marble, but it's not seeming to fit the scene? i don't know, you guys decide...thanks for the critiques :applause:

Table and chairs most definitely look like they're made of wood by their modeling. They seem like if they were real, they were carved on a lathe. So, do some sort of wood.

And the floor, our kitchen floor is tile. Have you tried that?

table and chairs look some what medieval?? Therefore i think wood would suit the style. perhaps some kind of stone flooring??? just a thought.

alright guys...thanks for the help so far...i'm still trying to decide on wall textures to go with these as well...now, i went away from the rich marble look to a laid back marble tile...i looked at the stone textures...but nothing impressed me...however, i think you're right...it would give it that medieval look

tell me what you think of these tiles here...i know the bump is far to high on them...i want a deep crease between the tiles...but not nearly the roughness on the actual tiles...either way, figured i'd see what people thought of the colors of the tiles before i continued with it

the titles look alright, but i was thinking of something a little less symetrical and a bit rougher looking?? check this out

not sure where ya can find a free one, but there are hundreds of sites with free stone flooring images, it just a matter of finfing them!

sorry it's been a few days since my last post...life kicked my butt...did some more work at school today...took it in a different direction...ooops :) anyways...goin for a medievel look as suggested, and as such, i'm choosing the textures currently....

gotta move those torches back up to the wall, add some flames..maybe spot lights in the flames for added light...please critique me and let me know any improvements

thanks as always :buttrock:

been some time since i've even looked/worked on this, as our teacher gave us about 2 more weeks than needed, so it's collected dust on my account...and now, the day before it's due, i take a look

i want to do volumetric lighting for fog effects on the sunlight...shots will be taken both at day and night, and it's not coming out the way i want :surprised each time i've rendered out an image, its' far too smokey, and difficult to see...what am i doing wrong? i don't really want a smoke effect, just a dusty effect through the air....please, c&c are welcome...
