Hey people, I am currently comming to grips with cloth and was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem. Okay I have finished my movement and the cloth is just hanging, however there seem to be a few verts here and there that are popping like mad? dowse anyone know how to fix this?

Try adjusting the Collision Offset and Depth on the collision object you have set for the cloth. Sometimes if the offset and depth are too high/low or to far off from each other; Maya has trouble doing the math and you can get some strange results. Wow, run-on. Anywho, hope this helps.

thanks for he info, I have been messing with them (collision offset and depth) based on what you have said, and it does not really change the output (poppy bits) much. also been messing with the resolution, and when I turn it up the popping gets more violent!

it's strange, I guess I could stop the simulation when the movement stops, but then that is not much good if the animation has stopping and starting...

Ah, try increaseing the size of your model. I know it may be a pain, but it just might do the trick.

But what happens if you can't scale up a whole production just to match the coth?
