when it comes to rendering stuff with high gloss like a car paint surface I would recommend relying on reflection to create highlights on the surface rather than using specular highlights. This can be done by making white panels off camera that will reflect on the surface of the car or by using HDRI images to create reflection/lighting environment. Here is a link that might be useful, I'm sure there are plenty of other free tutorials out there. This is just the first one I found.

Hopefully this helps. If you have more questions, or if it's unclear lemme know. Good Luck.

Also, keep in mind that in Brazil, Area lights and Brazil Advanced Materials won't produce specular highlights (because specular highlights are fake). You would have to use Directional lights instead. A quick trick is to add a Brazil light, set to omni. Then, change the light to "specular only" This will give some quick highlights to your car without adding any more light to your scene. But, reflection cards and HDRI images will produce the best results.
