tHERE IS AN iGES EXPORT PLUGIN BUILT IN TO MAYA 3 AND 4
iTS CALLED MAYA TO ALIAS IT WILL LET YOU DO MANY DIFFERENYT EXPORTS INCLUDING IGES JUST LOAD IT IN PLUGIN MANAGER AND GO.

hmm well i heard that there are a few direct exporters maya to xsi and back (with animation, and nurbs) but the XSI manager from germany told me that A|W isn't allowing that .... so no one is allowed to gibve his exporter to public ....
