And so it comes to this. I was here on that day when CGTalk came into being. I was here during the dizzying highs and the crashing lows. I will still be here, years from now, when my children are all wrinklyed and gassy and I am adding my 40,000th post, and my billionth entry into cgBot.

And why? Because CGTalk is the community. Because CGTalk makes friends out of strangers and monkeys out of polygons. The guys that made these many kilobytes of server space (and many more servers besides) will have a legacy that will take them into the next generation. They will be made kings among the people. They will recieve many more awards in the years to come. They will reach heights they never dreamed possible.

In that time, CGTalk will have grown into a community of hundreds of thousands. Children will flock to it's doors. cgBot will be a sentient being of infinite wisdom (And ultimate zen). There shall be a place in the firmament for the stars that are born from the welling deeps of the WIP forum.


In short, CGTalk rocks the earth.
