View Full Version : BLENDER goes to DVD Menus

Hey everyone, this is my first post here and Im sure I will learn interesting things from all of you.

Im doing DVD menus 4 movies that goes to blockbusters.
The thing is that I just finished a Menu for a Portuguese film called "Alice" and it will have an 1 minute animation made with Blender.

The animation it self is a flyby of a Lisbon elevation map mapped with a texture from the film.
Its not my best work, but Im proud of it because was made with this fantastic FREE 3d software.

Ive made other one earlier for a freench movie called "A ticket to space" and the menus are 100% made in BLENDER envolving animations with our blue planet and the freench version of the space shuttle.

I can post here some images of it if some of you let me know how.

That´s really nice to know about your work. We all gonna learn from each other, I´m sure.

There is another portuguese brother, Rui Campos, who is really prolific and active in the Blender community. You could talk to him too. =D

We´d love to see your pictures, and you´ll have in the bottom of the screen (when you edit or create a new post) a buttom called "manage attachments". There you can upload some files.

And I'm not alone, I see each day more and more Portuguese Blender users.

Since we are both Portuguese tell me why are we talking foreigner? LOL
I use to be a Max user but I broke my relation with it a long time ago.
I discovered Blender a hear ago, but I only started to use it big time a few months ago. As you see Im just a new kid on the block concerning to blender skils.

Im from Oeiras and work near by Lisbon as well, we can meet one of this days to change impressions.

Do you have a mail assigned to messenger or domething like it?

Im not going but Im envy you allready!

Im from Oeiras and that make us almost neighbors. I use to be a Max addicted user, but I had a quidproquo with Autodesk and Im changing to opensource litle by litle.
I just found Blender a hear ago and use it at regular bases from a few months now.
As you can imagine that makes me a newbie on the block. Lucky me that I have some background in 3D.
