View Full Version : free rotation
mseydel 09-13-2006, 10:52 PM this is a quick question, as I just dusted off Painter after a few months of not using it:
what's the key command/tool for grabbing the area outside of your image to 'free rotate' your drawing space?
much appreciated...

It's under the Hand (Grabber) icon. Just click and hold the cursor and it will show up.

That or the much easier to use keycommand: Hold down alt+space then drag :)

sweet, thanks! Both ways work, and it's my understanding that this isn't a pixel-distorting transform like Photoshop's transform. More like a temporary manipulation that sits in the scratch cache, right?
Right. also, douple clicking with the rotate icon brings the image back to it's beginnings.
