View Full Version : VW12.5 Breaks VW Exchange Plugin 2
povaratti 09-13-2006, 09:09 PM Not a surprise here based on previous history, but Vectorworks 12.5 upgrade released yeaterday breaks the Maxon Vectorworks Exchange Plugin. According to Maxon Tech Support there is no comment on when a fix will be available.
My only comment is that you would think two Operating Companies with the same Parent Company might cooperate just a bit better than this....back to VW 12.0 I go.

Thanks for the heads up, povaratti. I will stay away for awhile. This happened in the past and it took Maxon sometime (several weeks?) to provide a new plug. BTW, this would be a good time for Maxon to fashion a plug that is two-way.

S*** I up-dated today to 12.5 and I realized that the plug is no compatible with the version... talking about several weeks, god... very very bad situation...

very bad news... I ask at the support (WOW they are fast, congrats gs!) maxon looks a bit under pressure for the r10 and the plug is on the way, but not in a very soon time... mmm that's not a very nice situation for me in this time :(

I keep vw11.5 available on the dock for this reason.

What make me very angry is the dongle for 11.5 is no more compatible with 12 and I had to update the software dongle to install 12.5 :banghead:
I'm very disappointed with the slow update from maxon for this plug-ins and with the dongle protection upgrade of VectorWorks... until is an essential tool for my work and for a 0.5 update why a plug can't work...? That's is not so clear form me...

I saw the VW12.5 dongle info at the download site. Fortunately for U.S. users, dongles are not required.
Good luck with this.
