WIP LipSync with snipit from Disney's Alladin. Iago was a good character, loud, but good hehe.

so this is my first post and I was hoping for some feedback if that wouldn't be too much trouble. I don't know of any good site to host videos so I did it on youtube.com

here's the link:

I think the audio got a little unsync'd at the end there :(
and sorry I forgot to put some time before and after the animation. I'll remember that next time.
Thanks!

oh and I couldn't get the fingers to bend in this particular rig, so that's why there's no angry fists flailing about.

Hi there.

If this is your first try or close to it, your doing well. However I would advise you to look up Keith lango's website and follow his free animation pose-to-pose tutorial. This will help you get your character to do more than just try to say the lines.

Keep it up.

thanks for the reply, this is my first try with a model that was actually rigged correctly. I've done like 2 things before this one. I'll take a look at that website you mentioned. I'm just kinda trying to teach myself a little bit of Maya. first time using it hehe. I applied to go to Animationmentor.com so hopfully i get in.

Just a thought, I would try and shy away from using dialog from an animated movie (disney, pixar, ect) once the viewer hears the voice they instantly remember how the character moved in the original animation, I would try and find some audio that is less recognizable.

yea, I was looking for a clip that was from a live action movie. but I stumbled across that one and thought, "hmm, I wonder if I can make him look really aggitated" it was after I was done did I realize it was from an animated movie hehe. thanks for the suggestion
