Title: V & Evey
Name: Marco Antonio Teixeira
Country: Brazil
Software: Painter, Photoshop

This is an Ilustration i did based on the graphic Novel V for Vendetta written by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd. This is one of my favorites HQs.

I love it. Great use of the 'V' palette and very dynamic poses/perspective.

A few crits:

The perspective of the tower in the background seems a little off, especially towards the bottom, and in general feels flat - lacks the great amount of depth that the characters have. The way the closest edge of the tower is so bright and hits the exact corner o the piece seems awkward compositionally. might try making the tower more vertical in the frame, and/or just extending the frame to the right a bit.

The fuzziness of hte edges of Evey's cuffs bothers me the more I look at this. I think you could communicate the furriness of the material while still retaining the sharp, clear-cut look the rest of the piece has. Being the only blurry things in the foreground makes them seem out of place.

Come to think of it, the whole background in general could just use more depth, I think. I always have that problem, hehe.

Dont get me wrong though - great piece and the characters are just perfect.

Hi Marcos,

I really love your style, but i think you should have spent more time finishing the background cause for me it doesn't seem part of the same piece. You can do better.
