SimCloth Tutorial?????

I'm making a video tutorial on simcloth and cloth effects FWIW.

It'l be out soon.

you'll have to be a bit more specific, but in the mean time here's the most basic workflow to get you started.

create a plane,

apply a simclothmod from the modifier list,

got to the vertex sub ob level of the sim cloth mod,

select a row of verts along the top of the plane,

press the 'new' button in the mod panel (this makes a sort of group from the selected verts.)

select the text 'group_01' in the vertex groups list (the group u just created)

a list of stuff appears, check the 'attatched' check box.

Go back to the top level of the modifier and press the 'start calculation' button.

there u go.

that should get you started, from there it's just a matter of experimenting with the other options, most of which are fairly intuitive.

Isn't there a tut that comes with simcloth or can b dl-ed from their website (chaos?)?

i went to the website and tried downloading that tut........but it kept losingits connection with the server or something like that...

i'll try it again in a minute

i found the tute on my comp if u can't get it off their server let me know and I'll email you the help file. But the scenes are a bit big to be emailing on my crappy modem. anyway let me know if u want it.
