i want to create a frozen robot,but take warm action.
the 2nd picture was created in 2005,the 1st has done just now.
each picture used about 2-3 hours with photoshop,but i spend to much time for the model to make detail.

I do not know but maybe because the contrast is bigger, I like the left one more. It really gives the impression of connection between robot and flower.

How about letting the glow around the flower be yellowish/orange to contrast
with the cold feeling of the rest of the image? Just an idea..

When I saw these, I thought you meant that the robot found a flower in the battlefield which made him dream of a flower field. If these pictures could be combined it would be very cool.

i like the atmosphere of the new scene, but i think that the idea is a bit common, i dont mean any harm by my last statement though :)
