Title: Incident on "Bloody Mary"
Name: Alexander Sknarin
Country: Russia
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush

This image was created for "The trip into parallel universe" CGtalk.ru Challenge. It was attempt to combine classical science-fiction and some detective :) (in real it is illustration to my small novell).
All done in 3Dsmax, rendered in Mental Ray and some painted in Photoshop.

Really nice work... i like it . i feel the lighting needs more work, dont know.

I agree the background is great the way it is but the forground needs to be a bit more dark and have a lot more contrast. Maybe even some glare and bloom from the lighting behind it.

Also its really hard to see those dead alien bug things.

i think it needs more depth, some how it looks like they were standing in a small studio.

Didn't I told you? Nice picture you've made man! Seems to me it's has to much "crossings" between characters, it's lil bit makes the composition looks disorderly. But it's pretty in general. Cheers!

Nice to see a picture that tells a story. One of those things that is often missing here is ther eis a lto of busts and characters with no interaction no world to live in. Your robot looks liek soemthign that will be made and everyone will complain about it because it is so fragile but that is the kind of thing that often gets made. Cool picture

Too lazy to type my thoughts & this looked close enough to what I was thinking! I wish all books I read had pics like this . . . the faces and environments in this pic could add a lot to a story.

dynamic concept, i like the colour palette you used; maybe depth of field would have worked, can't really tell:)
