Title: Mazaar-e-Quaid.

hi...:). this was painted for a friend on his request. everything has been done according to the taste and liking of that person. im thankful to him for admiring my work that has a painterly feel, having a very loose treatment.
more that i must write: see it as a painting, rather than a finished digital work. the lighting here is not at all done according to the rules of realism, its done with keeping in mind the importance of the subject (so it doesnt come in the bracket of realistic work), its more like giving importance to a particular area, by playing with the scale, contrast, lighting done as in theatrical scenes, etc. achieving a realistic look was not my objective. Its treated more as a symbol with flat shapes, abstractly done. much more can be written, but lets click on submit...:). lastly, my friend is quite content, perhaps it fits his taste well.
i did consult a reference for Mazar-e-Quaid but played a little with other areas for what i had in my mind....:). painted in artrage, using tablet.
Mazaar-e-Quaid: "Mazaar" means Mausoleum and "Quaid" means Leader/Guide. Quaid is the title given to the founder of Pakistan (my country). his name was Muhammad Ali Jinnah. so this building that u see here and the title means: the Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
many thanks for your time for going thru all that...:).
cheers all.
