Hi, Ive been trying to learn how to texture recently after a fair few half hearted attempts in the past. So far I've managed to start work on my colour map and its looking ok.
The problem im having is when using a bump map, Im trying to make some relief lettering on a TV, like the make. eg Panasonic or whatever. However it comes out pretty lumpy. i solved part of the lumpiness by using BMP instead of JPG for the bump but I was looking for smoothe raised letters.
This will be used in an animation eventually, the tv will be static but I dont want to harm render times too much.
Im using MAYA 7.0 and Photoshop CS
