View Full Version : creating (fir) trees

I am having trouble with the fir tree in vue 5 infinite. First, the model they provide looks like a young tree with very few branches. No matter how much I try to edit it, I can't get it to look like a full grown fir tree. I've seen images on vue's site with full grown trees saying they were built in vue 5. Any ideas? Are there seperate plugins for more trees? I'm fairly new to using vue. Thanks for any help.
Fir trees always was a weak point in Vue. I say was because at Cornucopia3D you will find now quite some very interesting and good ones now.
If you want to do it yourself you must modify existing trees in the plant editor to your need. That it is possible you can see for example in the plants external brokers like Linda with her Incredible Lush series offer.
Since today Linda has her site up - about the Incredible Lush series. Look here:

Now... my question is: How do they create those trees natively in Vue? I like Vue's ability to edit and distort the trees, but it's very limited and kind of wonky. How are these people creating their trees?
I think you must see it as two levels.
Level one is E-on that of course has the knowledge to create complete new species with whatever tool. When i look at the amount of new plants over the years this must be extremely complex, otherwise they would have of course created much more. The market is there and they are all, but not completely stupid not to see this opportunity.
Level two are users like Linda with her Lush series or other creators. They are, as we all are, limited to the plant editor inside of Vue. They only have the expertice and knowledge to do good things with those tools. And come up with sometimes really amazing stuff.

Ok, so I assume E-on themselves made these trees?
i can't otherwise see how to modify a tree with that degree of control inside Vue 5 Inf.'s plant editor, and have it look that natural.
Some things the plant editor needs:
• an "add branches" slider
• resizable window
Yes, both are from E-on i think.
The indication at Cornucopia3D is that if it is from a non e-on broker the name is displayed on the purchase page. Something like brokered for...
I agree features like you mentioned them would be nice to have. Unfortunately so far they are not there.
