Spin Man
I thought about a small, but very powerfull villain.
Because he can rotate all the body parts, he can easily use all his extremities as a weapon.
But the main features are the two middle arms. I sketched it a bit wrong, because the big holes should be some kind of turbine exhauste, so that he has fly and goog jump capabilities.
The small hole belong to some kind of plasma weapon, details will follow.
The special weapon is a small plasma granade which is stored in the torso.
The spinning feature

A little Photoshop shading example.
I think the rusted metal look will work fine on the model.

The front view
I will add more details. Nuts & bolts, heat pipes, grills etc.

this one looks pretty cool! for some reason, i can see him spinning the middle section around like crazy as an attack (or cue for an attack)
looking forward to seeing this one progress!

I forgot to add the middle axis in the last two images.
This thing will do some crazy stuff, when itīs finished.
The animation capabilities are great and the basic model can be modified easily.

Love this concept. I can totally see this in the Megaman series. This would be a cool boss to fight!

man, I had a week full of trouble. today I had a couple of hours to start the modelling. the basic shapes, the extrmities, the joints/ankles, are modelled and fit well into the rest of the model. I have 500 more polys to waiste, of I also can delete some, so there ist mauch room for details.
The hand on the top isnīt attached right. I will do this when I rig the spin man

polycount right now 3989 tris.
Did all the uv mapping, so I can start the texturing this weekend.
Was a lot of fun :-) But the copy & paste function helped particularly when I mapped the fingers.
The next image should show the basic colour scheme.

i think the darks are okay, but your lights have a low value so it's not creating enough contrast. Looks great so far, keep it up >:D
