HI everyone!
This is image that was started months ago,and finished few days ago.
I dunno why is that so,but important thing is,it's finished.
Image might have some tech mistakes,but I like the whole atmosphere of it.
I painted it with photoshop cs.
No photo reference was used in this process,guess that's why it took so much time and made me frustrated from time to time.
In short it's about a girl(my honey Tena)
which was on her way home rushed from a beach earlier,due to the rain and bad storm that was coming up.
And somewhere on the road she got blinded by strong light what caused here to flip the car on it's roof...and image,well it tells rest of the story.


Anyway, hope U like it to.

that is seriously disturbing...

- is there a reason why she was driving home in her underwear?

A few technical comments :

the rendering of the alien is excellent, the feeling of slime in the shadows is incredibly realistic. but the section of car just underneath the alien looks too blurry, not enough detail to match the alien's level of detail so it looks a tad disjointed.

her hairspray is too good :-) it's holding her hair up despite the driving rain, especially her bangs - they should be falling downwards

overall, really good piece !

DArcy1 __ I always return from beach in my boxer's,or whatever I had on me when I was at the beach,and so does my girl ,which is kinda portraited here.

And if you take the fact that she was rushed from beach "due to the bad weather"
I guess it's pretty normal detail,but that's just me.

As for the car,,I agree,I should spend hour or two tweaking it,but I had no patience anymore.

The hair spray,well, you probabaly dived into criticising before you anylised it.
I'd explain it this way,Alien's tentacle is picking her head from ground,which was faced to the ground,hence,,the hair splatered across her face,,probabaly moments later it should fall of,,if you could play an animation in your head.

Hope You understand my point of view,,and I guess taht's why I drew it this way,cos at the time It sounded reasonable enough to me.

you rock man. This picture tells a crazy story and the details lighting and texture on the creature is great. Keep up the good work.
