Wintermute 01-28-2003, 06:39 PM Yeah, it's another car model, but I seem to be the only one doing this particular car so here it goes...

I'll have to post an update, as I have modeled most of the rear bumper since these..
btw; I'm doing this model by poly modeling, placing my verticies and connecting the dots.
(lightwave 7)
We'll see if I get around to texturing this thing, my low poly mech is taking long enough!

I still need to add the "ducktail" wing along the top edge of the rear, as well as the door handles and the engine hood seams (engine's in the rear on this car, under that nice big window :D )
I'm using lightwave 7.0 and I'm just poly modeling it...one poly at a time, pushing points around untill it looks right :surprised the fact that I have a 1/24 scale model of this car on top of my secondary monitor sure helps!
if anybody wants to see my reference pics, let me know, and I'll post them.
Nice model, well done. If you dont mind posting them, I'd like to see the reference pics. I'm in the process of making a Toms 88c racer and wouldn't mind making the Clk next. It's an awsome looking car, I used to own the Tamiya radio control version of it. Looking fwd toi seeing it in the Completed section.
Cheers

here's the reference image I'm using for this model..I also have a much higher resolution version (4.4mb tif) as I scanned this from the decal application sheet for the Tamiya model kit..

PM me if you'd like to get the larger version.

the crease inbetween the headlight cutouts looks a bit odd... maybe alittle bit to much emphasis on it?
Looks good so far! :)
Keep at it!
